If you’ve been looking for a good excuse to refresh your bookshelf without spending a dime, you’re going to love this news. Adopta un Libro is returning to Monterrey with a new edition of its now-traditional free event, where anyone can take home up to two books at no cost—and if one of them is a children’s book, they can adopt a third.
The best part is that this isn’t an exchange or a rental: the books are meant to find a new home and continue sharing stories. In addition, donations will be accepted during the event to keep this community project alive —one that has been promoting reading and free access to books for six years.
Which books can you adopt, and which ones can you donate?
During the event, you’ll find a variety of literary genres. If you’d like to support the project, we accept donations of novels, short stories, poetry collections, self-help books, nonfiction works, and children’s books in good condition.
However, we do not accept textbooks or college textbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, magazines, planners, brochures, bound books, religious or political books, or books that are wet or have missing pages.
