25 years after its premiere, Amores Perros returns to the big screen at Cineteca Nuevo León, one of the unforgettable films that left its mark on Mexican cinema at the beginning of the 21st century.
With special anniversary screenings, the legendary story directed by Alejandro Iñárritu will be screened again to relive it as if it were the first time. We’ll tell you when you can see it!
When will there be screenings of Amores Perros at Cineteca Nuevo León?
Written by Guillermo Arriaga and with cinematography by Rodrigo Prieto, this film became a symbol of contemporary national cinema with its brilliant portrayal of daily life in Mexico City in the early 2000s.
Although it seems like only yesterday that this audiovisual tale, which tells three different stories linked by a car accident, was released, it has actually been a quarter of a century since it marked the world of cinema with Mexican talent.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, there will be two incredible screenings of Amores Perros at the Cineteca Nuevo León (inside Parque Fundidora) on October 28 and 30 with screenings in the original 35mm format in restored version.
The screening on Tuesday, October 28 will be at 5:30 pm, while Thursday 30 will be at 3:00 pm. Tickets are priced at $60 for the general public and $40 for students.
To purchase your tickets just go directly to the box office one hour before the movie starts (tickets are subject to availability, so we suggest you arrive in time to get a seat).
We remember Amores Perros not only for its magnificent story, but also for the phenomenal participation of Gael García, Vanessa Bauche and Emilio Echaverría, as well as for the soundtrack with songs like “Lucha de gigantes” by Nacha Pop.
So if you want to feel like you have traveled back in time to the year 2000, don’t miss out on this cinematic experience!
