Birdwatching is one of the favorite activities for those who enjoy spending time outdoors, and this July there will be a perfect opportunity to learn more about the species that live in or visit La Estanzuela Park. This is a guided experience designed for beginners, nature enthusiasts, and experienced birdwatchers alike.
During the tour, participants will learn basic identification techniques, how to recognize the behaviors of different species, and the importance of these natural spaces for biodiversity conservation. In addition, the activity helps participants develop observation skills while exploring some of the park’s most attractive spots.
An experience to connect with nature
The activity will be led by experienced birdwatchers, who will share information about the species that can be found in the area. Depending on the conditions on the day of the tour, participants may spot resident birds as well as some visitors that use this ecosystem as a temporary refuge.
One of the tour’s objectives is to promote citizen biodiversity data collection. Therefore, we recommend downloading the eBird app in advance—a tool that helps identify species and document sightings made during the activity.
Tips for Making the Most of the Tour
Since the tour takes place on nature trails, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and proper walking shoes. It’s also important to bring water to stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun with a cap or hat.
Although not required, binoculars can make a big difference when observing details of birds from a distance, so they are highly recommended to get the most out of the experience.
