It is already a tradition: the arrival of Day of the Dead is the arrival of corn mazes, visits to horror houses and, above all, Candlelight Halloween concerts in Monterrey. Because although the roots of this celebration are American, its union with Mexican traditions have made us also highlight Halloween (and its live candlelight concerts) on the calendar.
Candlelight: The best of Halloween and Day of the Dead
Can you feel your skin crawling too? Tubular Bells from The Exorcist, The Phantom of the Opera’s Opening, Michael Jackson’ s Thriller? there’s no spooky tune (or scary reels) that won’t be included in this concert, from songs to soundtracks.
And each piece will be illuminated by the lights and shadows of thousands of candles, creating an almost supernatural effect while a professional string ensemble plays the notes of your favorite horror music.
And if that wasn’t enough…
On Halloween itself we will be able to relive the best scary movies in a unique way: through their soundtracks with Candlelight: Classics of Horror. A live concert that pays tribute to the iconic melodies of icons such as The Conjuring, Annabelle or Nightmare on Hell Street and that we will feel again as never before at the Mexican History Museum… among thousands of candles with a string quartet.
Candlelight Halloween at the Museum of Mexican History
With an elegant and modern atmosphere, the white stone walls and spacious halls of the Mexican History Museum are the ideal setting to experience a terrifying concert (in the best sense) under the light of thousands of candles. A perfect museum environment to experience a unique musical Halloween night.
The concert lasts 60 minutes, although the doors open between 30 and 45 minutes before the beginning. Songs from timeless movies like Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters or The Addams Crazies will be performed by a professional string quartet. And the result? The best plan this Halloween.
