The most important historical and cultural center in northern Mexico is preparing for an event that combines history with pop culture in Monterrey. The Museum of Mexican History will be the venue for a concert dedicated to The Lord of the Rings, a Candlelight production in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences. The event, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the saga, will bring the magic of Middle-earth to this impressive venue. And the first date will be this Friday.
The museum’s auditorium is transformed by thousands of candles
An event of this magnitude called for a setting to match. The Mexican History Museum is the most important cultural center in the north of the country precisely because it houses the most comprehensive collection in the region: a journey into Mexico’s past through more than 1,200 pieces ranging from pre-Hispanic times to the 20th century.
Added to all this is its avant-garde, spacious, and imposing design. An icon that marks the beginning of the Paseo Santa Lucía and that will now open the doors of its auditorium to be completely transformed. The space will be filled with the light of thousands of candles and the chords of one of the most award-winning soundtracks in the history of cinema.

The repertoire will cover the most iconic moments of the trilogy as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring. Highlights include One Ring to Rule Them All, Gollum’s Song, and The Return of the King, performed by the Madero Quartet under official arrangements approved by Howard Shore himself.
This experience has four confirmed dates and two performances per night, at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Tickets are now available online only.
