This Saturday, Monterrey is joining in the spirit of conscious consumption with an exchange of books, plants, and household items, ideal for giving a second life to things you no longer use and, at the same time, finding a new treasure for your home without spending a penny.
The event will take place this Saturday, January 31, with ample time for you to arrive at your leisure: from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bodega Cero, a space that promotes reuse, responsible consumption, and community projects.
How will the book, plant, and household item exchange work?

The process is simple and hassle-free: you can bring books, household items, or plants in good condition and look for something you like.
But remember, you don’t have to bring something to take something. The main idea is for everything to find a new home, without pressure and in a relaxed atmosphere.
Books can be of virtually any genre: novels, biographies, children’s books, science fiction, cookbooks, or even school books.
However, it is important that they are in good physical condition and that their content is still useful to someone else.
We will not accept books that are torn, damp, dusty, obsolete technical manuals, or notebooks that have already been filled out.
As for household items, there is a wide variety: paintings, picture frames, tablecloths, vases, kitchen utensils, office supplies, toys, tools, and more.
Everything counts as long as it is clean, complete, and in good enough condition to be reused.
Plants are also welcome: from cuttings and seeds to complete plants, with or without pots.
You can even bring your items days in advance, and if you prefer to donate without exchanging, they are also welcome.
The invitation is clear: give your things away as you would like to receive them and be part of a plan that combines community, sustainability, and discovery, ideal for ending the month with purpose.
