The Monterrey Ballet begins its 2026 season with one of the most emblematic works of the world repertoire: Giselle, a piece that has transcended generations for its emotional strength, its choreographic beauty and its deep symbolism.
This special performance, to be presented only on Sunday, February 22 at the Showcenter Complex, promises to be one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year for lovers of dance and performing arts in the region.
Considered a jewel of romantic ballet, Giselle tells in two acts the story of a young peasant girl who discovers the betrayal of the man she loves.

In the first act, the protagonist dies of love when she learns that Albrecht, who was pretending to be a villager, is actually a nobleman engaged to another woman.
In the second act, Giselle is reborn in the realm of the Willis – spirits of betrayed brides – where her unconditional love succeeds in saving Albrecht from eternal punishment.
With music by Adolphe Adam and original choreography by Jules Perrot and Jean Coralli, this work remains current for its ability to move and connect with audiences of all ages.
The Monterrey Ballet presents this production as a tribute to the power of love, forgiveness and redemption, besides being a unique opportunity to enjoy a staging of high artistic level.
Giselle is suitable for all audiences and ideal for students, families, youth and adults. Due to its emotional intensity, the company of an adult is recommended for children under 7 years of age, although the play does not contain explicit violence or inappropriate language.
