The world of K-pop is set to take Monterrey by storm with the arrival of K-pop Fest 2026, an event designed for fans of Korean music, dance covers, and Asian pop culture. The event will feature competitions, themed activities, and spaces to hang out with other fandoms during an afternoon filled with music and performances.
Confirmed activities will include a dance cover competition, random dance battle, karaoke challenge, K-market, fan art zone, freebie station, and even a Mandarina Contest. So if you’re a fan of groups like BTS, BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, TXT, SEVENTEEN, or TWICE, you’ll probably find your people here.
There will be a dance cover competition with cash prizes
One of the most anticipated moments of K-pop Fest 2026 will be the dance cover competition, open to both soloists and groups. Participants must present a choreography inspired by artists, songs, or concepts from the K-pop universe.
The contest will have two categories: children’s, for participants ages 3 to 13, and open, for those over 14. Each performance must last between 1 minute and 30 seconds and a maximum of 3 and a half minutes.
Mashups, music edits, and creative concepts will also be allowed, as long as they do not include offensive content or dangerous elements. Additionally, the contest will feature a panel of judges specializing in dance, performance, and K-pop culture.
Winners will receive cash prizes for first, second, and third place in each category.
