There’s a concert for those who grew up listening to “Pure Morning” and “Every You Every Me”! Placebo will return to Monterrey in 2027 as part of its 30th-anniversary world tour, and this show will have a special feature: it will feature songs from their early albums that the band doesn’t usually include in their current concerts.
The British band led by Brian Molko will perform on March 18, 2027, at the Banamex Auditorium, according to official information from OCESA. Mexico will host two dates on this tour: before arriving in Monterrey, Placebo will perform on March 16 in Guadalajara.
Placebo Will Celebrate Its Early Albums in Monterrey
The tour commemorates three decades since the release of *Placebo*, the band’s debut album released in 1996. For these concerts, the group will revisit songs from that album and from their second album, *Without You I’m Nothing*.
This opens the door to a live reunion with iconic songs from their early days. OCESA revealed that the setlist will include songs such as “Nancy Boy,” “Teenage Angst,” “Pure Morning,” and “Every You Every Me,” several of which haven’t been regular parts of their performances for years.
The celebration is also accompanied by *Placebo Re:Created*, a project in which the band reinterprets the songs from its debut album from its current perspective, three decades after its release.
When do tickets for Placebo in Monterrey go on sale?
The Banamex presale will take place on September 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., while general sales will begin the following day. OCESA notes that tickets will be available through Ticketmaster and Eticket, as well as at the venues’ box offices.
In addition, a special fan sale has been announced for September 22, prior to the bank presale.
This return will come on the heels of a relatively recent performance for Monterrey audiences: Placebo performed in Monterrey during Tecate Pa’l Norte 2024, held at Parque Fundidora.
