If you were looking for a refreshing family outing in Monterrey, this is for you. The Splash Zone at Parque Fundidora has opened for the season and promises to become one of the top spots to beat the heat without breaking the bank.
Since March 21, this water park has been open for kids to have fun in shallow pools designed especially for them. The best part: admission is completely free, so it’s a great option for a weekend outing.
That said, there are some important rules. Access to the pools is limited to children under 1.10 meters tall, and swimwear is required. Additionally, everyone must shower before and after entering, and babies must wear disposable swim diapers.
Rules, hours, and tips for your visit
To make the most of the Splash Zone at Parque Fundidora, keep in mind that it’s only open Friday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you’re driving, the most convenient option is to use Parking Lot 6 for the closest access.
There are also key rules to keep the space safe and clean: entry is not permitted for those with contagious illnesses or open wounds, nor are pets allowed. You also cannot wear denim, cotton, or clothing with snaps in the water.
Other important points: food is not allowed outside designated areas, nor are alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs. Additionally, large inflatables, diving, horns, and any object that could pose a risk are prohibited.
Children must always be accompanied by an adult and follow staff instructions. As an extra tip, you can bring a beach umbrella (with a rounded tip) to protect yourself from the sun.
