SpongeBob goes running in Monterrey and you can’t miss it. The most beloved character of the Bikini Bottom lands in Nuevo León with his most original event: the SpongeBob SquarePants Race Monterrey 2025, which promises to fill the streets with color, joy and fun.
SpongeBob SquarePants Race Monterrey: date, distances and how to participate.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 6:30 a.m., at a yet to be confirmed location in the city of Monterrey.
It will be a day designed for all ages, ideal for runners, walkers, families and SpongeBob fans. You will have three options to participate:
🏃♂️ 10 km race ( time limit: 1h30).
👟 5 km race ( time limit: 45 min)
🚶♀️ Recreational Walk 3 km (no awards)
The event has a limited capacity of 2,000 people (1,840 adults and 160 children), so if you want to ensure your place in this marine party on asphalt, register as soon as possible.
At the end of the race, trophies will be awarded to the 3 absolute winners in male and female categories for the 5 and 10 km distances. The walk will be recreational, without stopwatch or podium, perfect for sharing laughs and selfies.
Get ready to experience a race full of surprises, costumed characters, bubble dots, sea foam and Bikini Bottom inspired decoration. Put on your best happy face, your yellow outfit and run with SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick and your friends.
