What if you could experience the sound of Louis Armstrong’s Hello Dolly up close? The Jazz Room comes to Monterrey with a new live concert where you can enjoy this timeless musical genre in an intimate setting that also leaves room for improvisation (as is only natural in jazz). A first-person journey to 1920s New Orleans… without leaving our city.
The Jazz Room Monterrey: what concerts are on now?
A journey to the heart of New Orleans
Since we can’t travel back in time, this concert brings the past to the present (musically speaking). With a repertoire consisting of the best jazz, ragtime, and blues, this concert takes a tour of the greatest hits of this musical genre that was born in Louisiana in 1920. Songs such as When The Saints Go Marching In and Bassin Saint Blues will be performed live by a professional jazz band.
What is The Jazz Room?
The kind of event that makes you love jazz (even more). Set in the style of a street bar from that era, The Jazz Room is an intimate live music concert experience that focuses on jazz and related musical genres. Its main ingredients? Small music ensembles, staging, and a carefully designed repertoire. Its programs rotate and are independent (jazz, blues, soul, and tributes to artists), with an approximate duration of 60 minutes.
There are nights and nights, and those that come to Monterrey for a limited time with The Jazz Room are of the second kind, the ones you remember long after because of the vibe you felt. Especially because in this case, the soundtrack is provided by a professional band playing the best jazz, soul, and blues tunes. Of course, places are limited, so if you want to experience these concerts firsthand, we recommend booking yours in advance.
