2. Experience a concert by candlelight
If there is one experience that should be enjoyed at least once in a lifetime, that’s Candlelight. The candlelight concert series continues in 2024 illuminating Monterrey with the best musical programming, so this January immerse yourself in the most intimate atmosphere with The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Carmen or, if you prefer, with a magical tribute to Mozart and Beethoven. You will be left with your mouth open!

3. Get scared at a horror film series.
For lovers of horror and darkness! The Círculo Lovecraftiano & Horror will hold Hypnos 2024: Muestra de Cine Fantástico, an event to watch Mexican and Latin American horror shorts with a delicious (and scary) feast.

4. Learn about the history of the family album in a painting exhibition.
Looking for something artistic? The exhibition “La Consistencia del Souvenir”, by artist Salvador Díaz, is an unmissable plan to do in Monterrey in January. It brings together 40 paintings in various formats to narrate what family is in personal and collective history through the family album.

5. Learn to paint like Siqueiros

6. Meet regia women writers in a literary encounter.
Whether you write or want to meet contemporary women writers from Nuevo León, the VII Encuentro de Escritoras de Arkali is a great plan to do in Monterrey in January to discover the literature of wonderful women authors. There will be readings of works about friendship and bonds between women.

7. Attend a drag culture event

9. Walk along Chipinque’s illuminated bridge.
