The news is true! Snow finally fell in Chipinque and in different areas of Nuevo Leon. The news has gone viral thanks to the photos and videos shared on social networks and we tell you all about it.
This week the thermometer has dropped to minus zero degrees due to the arctic air mass coming from cold front no. 24, which has caused snowfall, sleet, rain and low temperatures in the city.
The cold wave will remain over northern and northeastern states of Mexico, so we can expect more snow tomorrow in Monterrey.
Will Chipinque close due to snow?
Despite the snowfall in Chipinque, the ecological park will remain open every day despite the low temperature forecast in Monterrey.
It is important for you to know that the road to the Meseta is not slippery and the park will be open at its usual hours: from 5:30 am to 9:00 pm.
Our recommendation? Buy your tickets in advance online and consider also your parking ticket. You should follow the rules of Chipinque Ecological Park during your visit to stay safe at all times.
If you want to do some hiking or biking, do so with caution and don’t forget to dress warmly and wear your protective gear!
