1. Arteaga, the Mexican Switzerland
Surely you have heard of Mexican Switzerland or Arteaga, one of the magical towns of Coahuila, located just an hour and a half from Monterrey. Although it is beautiful all year round, it is recommended to visit it especially in the following months winter it is one of the few places in the country where you can go skiing or snowboarding.

2. Parras de la Fuente
Parras de la Fuente is one of those places near Monterrey that will make you feel as if you have traveled to faraway lands. It is a small magical town in Coahuila. Here you will find 350 hectares of vineyards where you can taste the best wines of the region. We also recommend a visit to the Chapel of Santo Madero, which is located on the Cerro del Sombreretillo.

3. Cuatro Cienegas
In addition to being a magical town, Cuatro Ciénegas is famous for its natural wealth. You can’t miss the Poza Azul, with turquoise and crystalline waters, as well as the Dunes of Gypsum, a desert landscape as if taken from another world.

4. Bilbao Dunes
Here you can take pictures in desert scenery that look like something out of a movie and go for a hike or ATV ride. The history of the Dunes of Bilbao, located at Viesca, Coahuila, is amazing because before there was all the sand that covers the area, there was a sea. When all the water dried up, we were left with this incredible landscape.

5. Real de Catorce
Real de Catorce is a place near Monterrey that makes you travel back in time; from the moment you cross the Ogarrio tunnel you will feel like you are in another era. Explore this beautiful magical ghost town and let its streets make you fall in love with it.

2. La Estanzuela Natural Park
Launching into the nature is always the best way to disconnect. So, if your idea is to be surrounded by trees, wild animals and to listen to the water falling from the waterfalls we recommend La Estanzuela, a beautiful and Verde nature reserve. Don’t forget to wear your best footwear because the climb takes about an hour.

3. Luztopia, a Hollywood Christmas
The country’s largest Christmas lights festival starts on November 16, so from the next bridge you can visit to see the 200 illuminated figures, enjoy live music and themed characters.
