What part of Nuevo León does have to change its timetable?
Since 2022, the Time Zone Law in Mexico put an end to the seasonal time change and there was a new way of adjusting the time in the country.
Surely you remember when the clock used to be changed on the first Sunday of April or the last Sunday of October, but that’s in the past! Since three years ago, the new law published in the Official Journal of the Federation on October 28, 2022, cancelled the time adjustment.
However, this year 2025, there are areas of the country that will have to change the time on November 2, among them the municipality of Anáhuac in Nuevo León.
In addition, other municipalities in border states will also be added. In Coahuila, it will apply in Acuña, Allende, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jiménez, Morelos, Nava, Ocampo, Piedras Negras, Villa Unión and Zaragoza.
Also in Tamaulipas, it will take place in the municipalities of Nuevo Laredo, Guerrero, Mier, Miguel Alemán, Camargo, Gustavo Días Ordaz, Reynosa, Río Bravo, Valle Hermoso and Matamoros.
The seasonal schedule in the aforementioned regions of northern Mexico will begin at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of November, thus, the clock will be set back one hour earlier in the aforementioned places.
Don’t miss it! Only Anáhuac in Nuevo León joins the time change, the rest of the municipalities will remain without any change, as well as the rest of the country.
