With Christmas, New Year’s and the Three Wise Men season behind us, the holiday decorations are starting to come down, and with them the protagonist of the photos: the Christmas pine tree. If you have a natural one at home and don’t know what to do with it, we tell you where you can recycle your Monterrey Christmas pine.
We know it’s time to say goodbye to the decorations and the first thing we want to do is get rid of everything from the past so we can welcome the new year.
However, if you are one of those who bought a natural Christmas tree and were thinking of throwing it away, you can start the year off on the right foot by recycling and contributing to stop pollution in the city.
The first thing you should know is that from January 4 to February 14, you can find 46 collection centers in different areas of Monterrey, and here you can take your Christmas tree to dispose of it properly.
Don’t throw it away! This initiative aims to facilitate the process to dispose of your Christmas pine in a responsible way and avoid waste on public roads.
The best part? The collected trees will be 100% recycled. First they will be shredded, then they will be turned into compost and used as nutrients in other plants, and possibly future Christmas pines.
