If you have books you’ve already read, plants you can share, or household items you no longer use, this plan may interest you. In Monterrey , there will be an exchange of books, plants, and household items, a dynamic designed so that things find a new owner instead of being forgotten.
The idea is simple: bring items in good condition that you no longer use and exchange them for something you like or need. You can also participate even if you don’t bring anything or even donate items without taking anything in return.
The event seeks to promote conscious consumption, reuse, and coexistence among people who enjoy finding little treasures.
What you can bring to the exchange

Books can be on any subject: novels, biographies, science fiction, cookbooks, children’s books, school books, or books for babies. The important thing is that they are in good condition: that they can be used, that they are not torn or damaged, and that their content is still useful to other people.
Damaged materials, irrelevant publications, highly specific technical manuals, or school books with answers written in them will not be accepted.
You can also bring household items, for example:
- paintings or picture frames
- tablecloths
- vases or flower pots
- vessels
- tools
- toys
- kitchen items
- office supplies
In addition, there will be space for plants, whether whole, pruned, seeds, or specimens with or without pots.
The main recommendation is simple: give things away as you would like to receive them.
Some rules to make the exchange work
To maintain order and ensure that everyone can participate, some basic rules have been established for the event.
It is not permitted to accumulate items, block the aisles, or remain in the space for more than one hour. Items may not be taken before they are placed on the exchange tables.
If you want to participate but cannot attend on the day of the event, there is also the option of bringing your items in advance or donating them so that other people can make use of them.
