In recent days, invitations to a supposed “Therian Mega Gathering” in Monterrey began circulating on social media, generating curiosity among users of Instagram and other platforms.
The announcement states that the meeting would take place on February 22 at Horno 3, inside Fundidora Park.
It even invites interested parties to register using a QR code to participate in activities, music, and food.
Fundidora clarifies: the Therian Mega Gathering in Monterrey is fake
Through its official channels, Fundidora Park issued a statement denying that such a gathering would take place on its premises.
The organization reported that the event has not been authorized and will not take place in the park.
It also called on the public not to be misled and to verify any information only through its official channels.
This means that, to date, there is no permit or formal confirmation supporting the so-called “Therian Mega Gathering” at Fundidora.
Another gathering is also circulating at the UANL
As if that weren’t enough, an announcement was also shared on social media about the “1st Therians Gathering” scheduled for February 20 at the Explanada de Rectoría of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León.
The invitation mentions activities such as a supposed “Feline Walk,” which attracted even more attention on social media. However, so far, university authorities have not publicly validated the information either.
Given that these types of announcements go viral quickly, it is best to verify the information directly on verified accounts and official websites before sharing data or attending an event.
What are therians?
The term Therian refers to people who identify, spiritually or psychologically, with a specific animal.
The phenomenon emerged in internet forums in the 1990s, mainly in English-speaking communities, and gained greater visibility with the rise of social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
