Born under the Andalusian sun, flamenco is much more than a Spanish tradition: it is an art form steeped in history and passion. Since the 16th century, this genre has conquered audiences around the world, and in 2010, UNESCO recognized it as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Now, “We call it Flamenco” Monterrey arrives to celebrate its legacy with music and dance performances in the purest Spanish style.
With hundreds of roses, this unique experience will take you on a musical journey with talented dancers, a passionate singer and the unmistakable Spanish guitar. Tickets are available now, but seating is limited, so don’t miss out!
What is “We call it Flamenco”?
Spread over four acts, “We Call It Flamenco” brings an authentic flamenco show that combines the essential elements of this art form: singing, dancing and guitar playing. The dancers, dressed in traditional shawls and flamenco dresses, will take the stage, stomping and twirling to the rhythm of a guitar and the deep sound of a professional flamenco singer.
Flamenco, its forms and the show
Flamenco can be divided into more than 50 different forms, known as palos. Each of these palos has its own style or theme and explores a range of emotions such as sadness, pain, anger and joy. From cantiñas to soleá, “We Call It Flamenco” will perform various traditional palos, so you can enjoy an authentic flamenco show without having to leave Monterrey.
Get ready to fall in love with the Spanish spirit at the fiery Monterrey show of “We Call It Flamenco”. Shows last 60 minutes, but doors open 30 minutes before start time. We recommend you arrive early, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
