The Day of the Dead season already has one of its most anticipated events in Monterrey. Xantoluz will once again light up Parque España with a themed tour that combines tradition, culture, shows, and colorful stages for the whole family to enjoy.
For this edition, the park will feature several new additions. In addition to revamping part of its decor, it will incorporate new interactive spaces and a program featuring more than 20 daily shows, including musical performances, dance, children’s activities, and immersive experiences inspired by Mexican traditions.
More stages, interactive experiences, and spaces for the whole family
Among the main new features is a main stage that will host more than seven performances a day, featuring up-and-coming groups, dance schools, and two surprise musicals. Other spaces will also be expanded, such as Mictlán, which will offer more interactive experiences, and the Panteón, which will debut new decorations and special activities.
The Plaza del Mariachi will expand its bandstand to host live music and a food court, while the alebrijes area will feature children’s activities. Additionally, there will be a stage dedicated to children with two daily performances, a monumental altar that will now also serve as the stage for a special show, and the traditional “Área del Recuerdo” (Memorial Area), where visitors can leave messages for their loved ones. Organizers announced that there will also be a new surprise area, the details of which will be revealed at a later date.
As in previous years, the park will feature a wealth of themed decorations, monumental figures, and perfect spots for taking photos.
It will also be a pet-friendly event
Xantoluz will remain 100% pet-friendly, so attendees can explore the park accompanied by their dogs or cats. Additionally, there will be a space designed to honor pets that left a special mark on their families’ lives, inviting visitors to light a candle in their memory.
Tickets will be available through the official Xantoluz website. According to the organizers, sales will begin between August 14 and 15.
