What will be the Metro, Transmetro and Ecovía schedules in Monterrey this December 24 and 25?
The Monterrey Metro (Metrorrey) usually operates on a reduced schedule on December 24, ending service around 11:00 p.m.; however, the first departures generally remain unchanged.
On December 25, the system operates with start-up starting at 7:00 am and closing around 11:00 pm.
The Transmetro, which connects key stations in the system, operates every day of the year from 5:00 to 00:00 hours.
Only the routes Felix U. Gómez – Montecristal, Felix U. Gómez – Dos Ríos, Mitras – Villas de San Francisco, Sendero – Metroplex, Sendero – Buenavista, Alimentador Palmiras and the Transmetro García – Monterrey – Guadalupe start operating at 4:00 hours.
As for the Ecovía, this service usually maintains continuous operation, but with fewer units in circulation. On December 24, service ends around 10:00 p.m., while on December 25 it operates under a holiday schedule starting at 7:00 a.m., with slightly longer waiting times.
The urban routes of Monterrey and its metropolitan area also adopt special schedules. Although most of them run until mid-afternoon or early evening on Christmas Eve, some lines reduce routes or suspend final turns. On December 25 they operate as Sundays, with less frequency and availability.
